This encaustic wall art is unique and earth friendly! Encaustic is a wax-based paint made of beeswax, resin, and pigment. It is applied while in a molten state onto the wood and fused with a torch.
This art piece has a textured tree with a blue background. It is irregularly shaped and measures approximately 9.5 inches tall, 7 inches wide, and 2.75 inches deep at the top of the art. Sawtooth hanger on back for easy hanging.
The wood used in this piece was salvaged from a MN wood mill.
Care of encaustic art:
Gently wipe every 3 months with a soft cotton cloth to dust and restore shine. Do not place in direct sunlight or store in extremely hot (hot car) or cold temperatures (garage in winter). Do not place it outside.
