This encaustic wall art is unique and earth friendly! Encaustic is a wax-based paint made of beeswax, resin, and pigment. It is applied while in a molten state onto the wood and fused with a torch.
This abstract piece features textured encaustic medium. It is created on a wood panel that I had originally painted in 2021. This piece measures 10 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and 1 inch deep. The sides are unpainted wood.
Care of encaustic art:
Gently wipe every 3 months with a soft cotton cloth to dust and restore shine. Do not place in direct sunlight or store in extremely hot (hot car) or cold temperatures (garage in winter). Do not place it outside.
