These hand painted encaustic earrings will quickly become one of your favorite accessories! Each encaustic earring is unique, lightweight, and earth friendly. Encaustic is a wax-based paint made of beeswax, resin, and pigment. It is applied while in a molten state onto the bark and fused with a torch. Wax sealer is then applied.
They measure approximately 0.5” x 0.5”. These earrings feature a white, pink, and purple abstract design.
The bark was salvaged locally from fallen trees. Each piece has been cut, sanded by hand and reinforced with wood glue. The glue creates a glossy finish on the bark.
These are fine art earrings and should be handled carefully.
A grade 1 titanium post is secured to the back which is naturally hypoallergenic and strong. The post has a groove to help secure the silicone back.
